Gite accommodation in the Limousin

Local Weather

Please see below for a 5 day view of the weather in Limoges, although we are often slightly higher in temperature here.

The summer weather in this area can be very hot (into the 30's centigrade), although rarely unbearably so. However, if you are feeling a little warm, our lovely pool area is available for a swim or a dip to cool down. The evening temperatures here can be very balmy in the summer months, which means you can expect to sit outside sipping your wine late into the evening if you wish !

As far as the other seasons are concerned, the spring and autumn weather here can be equally lovely. It is not unknown to have temperatures in the late 20's in April and September, even October, although of course the temperature at these times of year are likely to be more variable than in the summer months.

For those who are not quite so keen on the heat, and want an out of season break, March/April or October/November may be the ideal time.  We often get lovely sunshine during these months, although the nights can be a little chilly on occasion. For this reason, we would recommend that you stay in our 'Stable' gite, at those times of year, which can be heated via a wood-burning stove.
You can find more detailed information on the local weather here, or contact us and we can advise you of the average monthly temperature over the last few years.
